Greater Bay Area International Sports Business Summit Inagurated

The inaugural Greater Bay Area International Sports Business Summit, which lasted for two days, was grandly held on February 23, 2024, at the Galaxy International Convention Center in Macau. As the first major sports summit of the Year of the Dragon, the event brought together industry leaders from around the world to engage in a long-awaited international sports extravaganza, with discussions and exchanges revolving around sports influence, sports marketing, and sports investment.

Mr. Pun Weng Kun, Director of the Macau Sports Bureau, stated, "Under the theme of 'Sports Connecting the World,' this summit has successfully gathered industry leaders from the international sports community to delve into and share valuable experiences in various aspects of the sports industry. With the efforts of the organizers and sponsors, we believe that the summit will provide a valuable platform for the future of the regional and global sports industry, particularly in envisioning the contributions of the Greater Bay Area in connecting China with Asia and the world. As the highest-level 'Greater Bay Area International Sports Business Summit' in Asia, it will also provide a great opportunity to enhance the development of Macau's sports industry and establish its position as a 'City of Sports.'"

The summit has invited several renowned figures from the international sports and business community, including Jack Ma, Chairman of Alibaba Group and owner of the Brooklyn Nets, Yao Ming, Chairman of the Chinese Basketball Association, basketball superstar and Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade, and Li Ning, the founder and Chairman of the Li-Ning brand and group. Their presence has brought abundant expertise and shared experiences to the summit.
